First 'Derek' made me cry and then watching Joey Essex in TOWIE crying over his Mum who died when he was 7yrs old.

My tissues have been doing overtime tonight.

that programme with Ricky Gervais?

yes, em10, it was the last in the series last night, so well written and acted.
Watched Derek last night - cried like a baby. Hope there is another series.

Can't stand TOWIE.
"so well written and acted."

Yeah, I agree. Towie is excellently written and acted :P

I missed Derek, but have it recorded. Gutted it's the last one.

^ You're in for a treat. Last night's was absolutely wonderful.
It's such a lovely series.

It annoys me when people say "it's not even funny". It's not a comedy!!

I'm not really a fan of Gervaise so wasn't going to watch it, but someone told me I should and boy I'm glad I did. I think Derek is his best role ever, plus the supporting cast is excellent too.

Totally agree with that, he plays the part fantastically.
Ooh, I'm really looking forward to watching it tonight, now.

Definitely Triggs!

Just don't go into it thinking you're watching a comedy, cos it's not. There are some funny parts, but it's just a really, really good series.
Most definitely. It's gentle, moving, thought provoking and funny at times (especially the caretaker) - probably not for everyone, but I loved it.
MadMen - have plenty of tissues handy (I can feel myself welling up again now !!!).
The caretaker and his friend really do crack me up.

Ahh, I can't wait to see it now. Will get the tissues ready!
Enjoy .....
:-)

I'll report back.
