Most likley as we are the softest touch.
For true asylumn seekers this is not a problem but many these days are really economic migrants.
And? This is the speculative opinion of one lawyer, the Luxembourg Advocate General who admits that, if followed, it could have undesirable consequences (pretty obvious ones, really) As such, it is never going to be followed. The UK is not the only EU state at risk of being chosen above the others in this shopping around, and none of those at risk will agree to it
Try telling the stupid goverment no problem for them thy are all million heirs
I thought they already did that anyway.
why arent benefits standard throughout the eu.we all supposed to be one big happy family.
well...they shouldn't. they should always be returned to the portal of entry, or deported back home if appropriate.
Our immigration laws are already in a mess. Why can't we follow Australias lead. In the news yesterday a British hard working couple were deported from Australia because they had set up home outside the given specified area.

If this new law is taken up it makes no difference to the asylum seeker as to get here has travelled through most of Europe anyway. Just as we are starting to get tough on these economic migrants they rush through another bill to thwart us.
