My husband has been out of work for a few weeks but has now been offered a job on a building site in London. He has got a room in London for £180 per week but has no use of a kitchen so will have to eat all his meals out which will be very expensive. Does anyone know of anywhere you can find a reasonable room in the London area?

Thanks a lot, Maidup. I just realised I said my husband instead of my sister's husband!
The rent seems to be very cheap for anywhere in London. He could buy cheap microwave and kettle or ask on Freecycle for items he needs, even maybe a tiny fridge. Good luck to him and congrats on getting job.
I did wonder :-)

Hope these help, there is plenty to choose from and if you narrow the search to ensuite or even self contained, you could help him find something quite comfortable for the price.

Thanks for suggestion, overthetop. Knew you would wonder, Maidup! I assure you I am still on my own.
have to agree with the micro/kettle idea, Will he be home for the weekend? You can get weekday only lets which might be a bit cheaper
Question Author
Won't be home every weekend, Bednobs as flights would be too expensive.
