One of my cats is 9 yrs old and for the last week she has been vomiting once a day. She doesnt look ill, is eating normally and still racing round the house and garden with the other cat. I didnt realise she had been sick for that long until just been told by hubby that he had also come down to kitchen last 2 days and cleaned up after her.

Worth a visit to the vet or not as she looks perfectly fine?

All things being equal... as your description is, I'd guess worms... A lot of animals, large and small, really don't exhibit much in the way of symptoms when infected with intestinal worms... fairly easily cured, by the way. You'd best see a vet, but there are many over-the-counter worm treatments for the three usual type of worms found in cats.

Diarrhea and vomiting are usual indicators of worms if other symptoms are lacking... but see your vet...

Thanks Clanad.
Could be any number of things, worms definitely being one of them! If your cat had been seen by the vet in the last 6 months then you should be ok to buy worming medication over the counter at the vets. Try this first if you do not routinely worm them. You really should worm a cat every 3 months.
A neighbour may be feeding her, she may have ingested more fur due to having a thicker winter coat, there may be a more sinister reason but worm first then wait and see for a few days, check her poo for the dead worms, if she continues to vomit then vet. But hold off if she is not displaying other symptoms, as fees can quickly escalate x
I agree,it could be worms but a check up with your vet might be good.
