Do you have any nail polish remover? If you have, and it contains acetone, then soak the nail/finger in that for a bit. It will soften the nail and you should be able to remove it.

I do but I only have Acetone free stuff - but I shall give it a go as part of the nail has chipped off and its catching on everything. Thanks Madmen

I used the normal nail remover I had and sat with it in that for about 5-10 mins and it went all soft and it just peeled off
