Jesus said, Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need,” or those who recognize and respond to their spiritual hunger. (Matt. 5:3)

Don’t let this lot get you down. You will always get those who will mock what they don’t understand.

I like to think of myself as a spiritual person. I have a faith, I believe in God and Jesus and I try to read my Bible regularly. (although I do fall short in that respect).

Am I happy? Yes I think so. I have a happy and loving family. We respect each other and although we don’t live in each others pockets, we are there for each other.

I have lots of friends and lead a full life in what I do.

As a charity worker I see much unhappiness and it grieves me because I can’t do much physically to alleviate the suffering.

I don’t worry about the future, that can take care of itself. I have regrets about the past but I can’t alter that. So I tend to do what I can, when I can; now, today, this minute.
I know that whatever the future brings I can look forward to something better as it tells us in Psalm 37.
Batexia, //I know that whatever the future brings I can look forward to something better as it tells us in Psalm 37.//

What could be better than what you already have? ↓

Now when Cheesus saw the crowds, he went up on a grassy mountainside and sat down. His Junior Bels came to him,

2 and he began to teach them.

The Cheesititudes

He said:

3 “Blessed are the Yargs in Cornwall,
for theirs is the County of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who love Cheddar,
for they will be welsh rarebitted.
5 Blessed are the Bries,
for the French think that they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for Stilton,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the Cashel Blues,
for they will be served with Irish mercy aka Guinness
8 Blessed are the pure in Wensleydake,
for they will watch Wallace and Gromit.
9 Blessed is the Bishop Kennedy,
for they will be called cheeses of Scots.
10 Blessed is the Caerphilly when made from the milk of a Tony goat
for this can get lodged in one's throat.
11 “Blessed are the Cheesemakers and sellers when people insult them, persecute them and falsely say all kinds of evil against them because they have low stocks.
12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is our reward in heaven, a New Year plate full of cheeses ready to eat, just as our ancestors who were before us.
13. Cheers and a glass of red wine but none of that Hungarian Blood wine, please.

Thank you Batexia It is easy for God to accomplish his full objective in the way that he sees fit, So we do not need to wait for a voice out of the heavens, or even another book in order to know God’s purpose, Another point is that critics claim that the Bible is unscientific and out of date, but the Bible was not written for nothing.

Yes all true Christians must endure to the end of this system of things or to the end of our lives.(Matt 24:13) But does it strike you as curious that there is so much confusion about Matthew 24:14, a verse that even a child can understand? There are reasons for this. Satan has blinded people to the precious truths found in God’s Word. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Also, God has hidden his purposes from the haughty and has revealed them to humble ones.( Psalm 37:11)

True, I don’t worry about the future, that can take care of itself. I have regrets about the past but I can’t alter that also, but I aim to hold onto the real life, see to it you do to.
God has a purpose?????? Jeez.....it makes as much sense as you do Goodlife. Now about my earlier offer......
You keep on quoting the bible to us, Goodlife. Can't you see that it means nothing to the majority of your respondents? Nothing whatsoever. You might as well be quoting from 'Noddy's Adventures with Mr. Bigears' Rather consider:

'Do not believe because the written testimony of some ancient wise-man is shown to you. Do not believe on the authority of teachers or priests.
Whatever accords with your own experience, and, after thorough investigation agrees with your reason; is conducive to your own welfare, and to that of all other living things, that accept as truth, and live accordingly'.
goodlife, you said on another thread that if the Bible doesn't apply to us, we should ignore it. Please just let us do that, please.
