I just read some very moving comments about a poster on here - I didn't know know him so it was inappropriate for me to comment, but it did prompt a question.
Not only do we make connections with people online these days, but I am sure many of us have on-line bank accounts and other types of accounts. How are our family members supposed to know how to access them in a world where online security means you shouldn't divulge your details to anyone or save the information anywhere?
(Online) 'sockpuppeting' is where one person appears with two different usernames posing as two separate people in order to manipulate other users. Supposedly someone has been doing it here tonight.
I know you shouldn't allow passwords etc.. to be known but my youngest bro knows what mine are. as does another bro... together they'll realize I keep the millions stashed under the mattress.
Interesting thread. I keep meaning to put together a list of accounts and details which at the moment, are not known to anyone but me.
I have an OH but no children. To be honest I avoid doing too much online as he'd struggle to know which company we buy our electricity from or where some of our accounts are, as he's not computer savvy. Nevertheless I need to write the list for my peace of mind and add to it as new things come online.
