A ball comes flying across at you and not some dolly kick that could destroy your sex life or crunch into the side of you and you let it happen. It was a natural reaction.
The ref is the one that should be berated for letting it stand - why, when there is so much money in the game, does this stupid sport not have the use of goal cameras and perhaps a second (off-pitch) referee - like rugby does and some Test match series?
It's about time they entered the new century.
