dell or acer

given a choice of laptops between dell or acer (similar spec and price(�500)) which is the better buy ?

it shouldn't really matter.

i'd go dell, but acer is also a good brand. one will probably have a slightly better spec. go with the better one if they're both about the same price.

Acer usually give a 2 year guarantee which would swing it for me.

im on a acer at the moment. its a good computer for the price. cant really complain. ive never had a dell but i would definatly reccemend acer. happy new year!!
