big chocolate boxes with pics on

Hi,

Does anyone remember these from the 70's/ 80's ? You could get boxes like a tabletop with Cats,Cottages etc on and they were really posh looking .

God I feel old !! Do they still make them or have they stopped now ?

Getting to be very old and definitely remember them, but have no idea who made them. The kitten always looked slightly dopey.

However, these may have served a purpose for men feeling guilty buying last minute presents, and have possibly been overtaken by Thorntons. Was getting last minute chocolate for housemates (cost �8) and had men either side of me in queue getting �40 box of chocolates. Seemed to me to be an awful lot of packaging and not enough chocolate in the equation!

Hi you have made me laugh, we were only talking about these choc box'es a few weeks ago. Not sure if it was only Milk Tray that did these, but you are right cant buy them anymore.

Yes I remember them. Some were very large but you could also get smaller boxes with nice pictures on.I think the smaller ones were rather nice.
