If the largest group having racist crimes committed against them were Asian.

/// In 2011-12, where ethnic origin of the victim was known, 44% of victims were of Asian origin - comprising Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Chinese or other Asian the largest group being Pakistani at 23% ///

And, the second largest group were White British.

/// The second largest ethnic group of victims of racist incidents in 2011-12 was white British ///

Who I ask is committing these acts of racism, surely it can't be the Scots because aren't they also 'White British'?

tell that to the chanting Scots at a rugby match, or many sporting events, the English aren't much better, racism does not have to be about colour.
Can I say again, not all British people are white...
also not all Scots are white, nor all Englishmen?
Alba..it's drinking the irn bru that makes them go rusty.
Fairly clear from the report

Where information on perpetrators was available, in 2011-12, 95% of perpetrators were of white origin, including White British (83%), White Irish (1%) and Other White (11%) (which includes Gypsy / Traveller and Polish White)
In another table it shows Asian 3%, Black 1% & Other 1%
// Who I ask is committing these acts of racism, surely it can't be the Scots because aren't they also 'White British'? //

It is well known that Pakistanis and Indians can be racist towards each other. So why do you not accept that English and Scots cannot be racist towards each other?

// Where information on perpetrators was available, in 2011-12, 95% of perpetrators were of white origin, including White British (83%) //
The report does not break white British into Scots, Ulster, Welsh or English but it does say 83% of the racist incidents were carried out by white British.
// ...why do you not accept that English and Scots cannot be racist towards each other? //

Think there is a double negative lurking in that sentence. //
It all depends on your definition of a Race and therefore what constitutes racism.

I personally am not comfortable with the idea of just belonging to a country making you a particular race.
Only the white ones aog.

Was referring to the reports findings /// The second largest ethnic group of victims of racist incidents in 2011-12 was white
British ///

If they were referring to the White Englishman, why didn't they put that?

Have we lost our national identity so much, that we are no longer referred to as Englishmen?
"Have we lost our national identity so much, that we are no longer referred to as Englishmen? "

not yet, but not far off the way things are going
White British refers to folk who come from Scotland, Ulster, Wales, England or those who are British and white.
I would say it means that if the second largest group of victims were White British, the perpetrators must be Asian, etc. (other races )
Not necessarily Scots against other home nations.
