Second thread on the same subject, but what a completely different response, I didn't put a comment to my thread such as this one:

"does anyone care that much"

But I was called a 'miserable old git' etc.

Which only goes to prove my theory, it's not about what news story is posted and what comments some make, but 'WHO' posts the news story.

I thought this contribution was rather rich coming from a certain source, it is a pity that some don't practice what they preach.

/// just a few people expressing opinions, good bad or indifferent. Your suggestion that some ///some grumpy old farts need to grown up/// is uncalled for and frankly mildly offensive, it is after all a News story on which we are all entitled to comment and indeed are free to do so. ///
if anyone thinks the news coverage is OTT at the moment, wait until the baby starts kicking.
I wish them all the best.
bibblebub

That a step too far, is not in the least funny.

All goes to prove the type of person that is polluting our Answerbank. and I only hope the ED will remove it forthwith.
Cut and pasted by aog, fame at last;

My response which you took the trouble to reproduce, and is indeed the way you pad out most of your posts with non original material, was tempered by the fact the person I was responding to is not imo a bigoted curmudgeonly one-trick pony!
I think it's good news, but she's only about 8 weeks gone, so imagine what the media will be like as she gets bigger and bigger.
Do you think that they had to announce the pregnancy early due to the danger of the press finding out because she's in hospital?
Yes
I did think that myself, chap.

I think that's terrible for them. When I was about 8 weeks pregnant with my oldest, I had terrible morning sickness. Not in the same league as Kate, but enough that I had to explain to a couple of people why I wasn't involved in certain events. One of these people then told several others long before we were ready. We wanted to wait until after the 12 week scan as we had had miscarriages before. It must be a million times worse for them.
I totally agree with you 2sp. I bet they wanted to keep it quiet until 12 weeks at least.
I wouldn't swap lives with them for anything.
May everything go well for them from now on to the birth.
What gets me, is the fact that the Media is camped outside the hospital and have been All Night. What do they think is going to happen at night??
Also, an ITN correspondent said this morning that the hospital never gives out bulletins on patients. So why wait during the hours of darkness?? Ridiculous.
Chrissa, the cynic in me wonders if the press are there in case something goes wrong and they can report it asap.

Or have I misjudged our press?
Media from all over the world are camped outside now :o/
I hope Kate can get away from a secret exit when she does finally leave to go home and recover/get on with her pregnancy.
Kate is now out, looking a bit worse for wear, not surprised there considering what she has been through. This illness doesn't stop after a few days in hospital so is she on drugs to control the sickness or ??
