I have electric storage heaters that are on Economy 7 off peak. At the moment they are heating up at 10-30 pm, with one heater being almost cold prior to this time and then heating up to a high temperature within 15 minutes. This has only happened recently. Does anyone know anything about them? Many thanks

I'm not sure what you are saying has changed. Is it the timing that has changed, is it the speed at which one heats up or is the fact that one now gets really cold until it's heated up?
Is 10.30pm definitely within your Economy 7 time slot?
Storage radiators are a pretty useless way of heating a house, as they are stone cold when you need that heat, in late afternoons and evenings. But of course, they may be your only option if you are not on the gas main.

However, I have recently started using one of those Halogen room heaters. They are very cheap, as they can be run on only 400w, which is just about OK for a small room. I found one on ebay for £12 including p+p.

They take up hardly any room and can easily be moved about. At £12 its got to be worth investigating.
