If tea bags were slightly out of date, would they be ok to use?

With my other half's relatives being Irish and living under the misapprehension that you can't buy tea bags in Britain, we frequently receive tea bags by the bin load!! The current supply (I've just found out), which we received sometime last year, are now two months out of date, but they still taste fine!!
Yes, they'll be fine. Just store them in a dry container and they'll keep for ages.

Of course they will be. They may not taste as good but only slightly. Everything has to have a date put on it but tea leaves will last for ages.

I found a Heinz chocolate pudding in my cupboard only about 2 years out of date. We cooked it and ate it and the chocolate sauce has just dried up abit slightly.

Don't eat out of date meat, milk and cheese or you will be in trouble.

OK, thats great news trojanfarce and wendys, I just thought I would ask as these days you can't be sure. We live in France and have to rely on kind folks to send us boxes of tea bags, sometimes supply exceeds demands (thank goodness)

Mata Hari, you should try Liptons tea bags. I bought them on holiday in France this year on was really disappointed to find that you cannot buy them in the UK. Really nice tea.
