As I like my tea like gnats p1ss it got me wondering - are one cup tea bags stronger or weaker than normal tea bags? I like mine just threatened with a tea bag, so pale and weak its not much more than coloured milk. So am I wasting my money buying a one cup tea bag, when I could buy a box of ordinary ones - bearing in mind you used to put one tea bag per person and 'one for the pot' in a teapot? Discuss.

Sorry I only drink herbal tea.................
if you like weak tea, as I do too, just buy the cheap supermarket own brand ones, they will be more than strong enough!.........
As far as I can tell, 'one cup' tea bags aren't noticeably weaker or stronger than ordinary ones. They're just dearer!
i like my cuppa to be strong with 1 spoon of sugar and just a drop of milk...
We use p. j. tips. We share one tea bag, as we both hate strong tea.
If we won the pools tomorrow, our teabag would still be shared. my son thinks were weird lol he likes his tea so you could stand a spoon in it.
Has to be hot and strong for me no sugar little milk. Builders tea I think it's called.
can you still do the pools pusskin??...i remember the vernons man calling at our door every friday evening to collect my dads ''pools money''.. good days...
you could just buy one of those giant cups, then itll be about right for you.

i think all teabags are the same 'strength'

the name one cup is just a name and all teabags are 'one cups'.
oh I forgot, cant do the pools any more, dont do lottery either! haha
but we'd still share a teabag if a million £ dropped into our laps.
and yes, i remember the pools man from my youth stoke. Lovely memories ay
I just put the bag in a mug pour in the water and milk and keep the bag in in it.
I buy 2 cup Yorkshire tea bags from Costco so they are not all one cup. We like it strong.
That's an ordinary bag mind.
I remember the 'Provy Man' coming every week for his 5 bob.
I often used to answer the door and say "Mum said she's out" & shut the door.

I bought a catering pack of Tetleys teabags. Weak as pi$$. complained and got my money back.
jemisa, I still have the provident book in my cupboard upstairs !!!! haha

Lankeela, I could never ever keep a teabag in the cup, ohhh , much too strong for me
I think that they are a bit weaker than the normal ones but would not want to disagree with Chris above who is never wrong.
Best beloved like his tea more on the "helpless" side I just use ordinary teabags, and merely "introduce" them to the water! He doesn't take sugar or milk in tea either

So pleased to find others who like it like gnats! I am often made to feel like a pariah when people see my tea, and I end up apologising but saying its how I like it. Also when they say is that too weak, I always reply it can't be too weak! I have also discovered a little trick - if you use a cup or mug that is coloured inside the tea looks weaker than in a white mug! Make two cups one coloured one white and leave the tea bags in the same amount of time - I know it seems phsychological but it is true!

By the way bought two boxes of Tetley One Cup today in the Pound Shop, quite expensive for me as I usually get Sainsbury's 'Basics' for 26p!
I will have one cup of tea a week - Sunday afternoon. I use 2 teabags for it and no sugar, just a dash of milk. Lankeela - I think my dirty washing up water is stronger than your tea ;)
