When OH was very ill but had to have frequent baths we got fed up with him pulling me in instead of me helping him out.
We borrowed one of those inflatable cushions.....I inflated it, he sat on it, I deflated it, he bathed and the idea was I inflated it again and it lifted him up.
He can't have been positioned correctly because when I inflated it he slipped over the back...head and torso under water.....bum and legs in the air.
He'd almost drowned by the time I stopped laughing and pulled the plug out.
LOL^ My imagination is running riot gness!!!!
< makes note - do not accept bathing opportunities chez gness >

Hey Slinks x...nice to see you on, hun.

Baths are sometimes made too high to get out for some people, especially when you're wet, so showers are just as good, sweetheart...just use your oils in there :0) x
shower or shed hose, dave.....
I can't bend my feet or ankles very well. Try getting into olr out of a bath with ankles and feet that don't bend! Doesn't sound difficult but it is well nigh impossible.

LOL....Old_Geezer's answer is simply brilliant.....and cost cutting to boot. :0)
A Julio Iglesias CD.................be still my beating heart!!
Standing as nature intended in a field, in the rain and let a couple of goats do the sweaty bits wi' tongues.
I don't do baths - they're 4ft 2in and I'm 6ft 3in - relaxing it is not - washing by instalments is more like it.

Give me my double size shower cubicle with the pumped shower any time ... form a queue please ladies :+)
OOOhhh douglas you made me shiver all over then.
You'd get in a shower with me!!!!!! Brave man. x
First in line for Sunny Dave. My sort of fella!!

Could be worse, Crafty and I use Conway Twitty :0) x
I've had one bath in the two and a half years we've lived in this house - never again! Bad enough getting in, getting out was a nightmare, the arthritis in the hands, wrists and shoulders made it just about impossible to push myself up, and the floor of the bath was slippery. It took awhile but I eventually managed to get out. Catch me doing that again, sticking to the shower cubicles in future

Hi nungate,

Showers are safer my love x

As you say, getting in is not bad at all...getting out can be a more tricky affair.....I usually put a towell down on the floor near to the bath, so when I get out I dont slip about all over the place, as tiles slippery, otherwise I would 100% end up pulling all the fixtures, fittings and blinds down when I fall arse over t1t onto something probably long and able to do me an injustice. :)
A shower every other day usually although when I work, (such as I did today), I like to soak in a bath when I get home.
My OH has the same problem as others on this thread.
She used to like a bath in preference to the shower but because of arthritis has to have a shower every time now.
Next door's dog gave me a good licking earlier on, that'll do.
