Uninterested/disinterested. What's the difference??

uninterested = not interested
disinterested= impartial
Disinterested means "impartial" or "not taking sides."
Uninterested means "having no interest" or "not interested".
Disinterested means impartial.......... and Uninterested means not interested. :)
Prefixes - unavoidable or the oppposite ?
