Is it true that babies born through IVF don't have belly buttons? Someone told me last night that he didn't have a belly button because he was a test tube baby, and I can't decide if he was pulling my leg or not...

Thanks

belly buttons are a scar from where the umbilical cord was cut after birth. ivf babies also have an umbilical cord as this attaches to the placenta providing the baby with essential nutrients. unless your friend was genetically modified to use a knife and fork in the womb then the chances are that you have well and truely had your leg pulled. congratulations : )

No beth, he was pulling your leg

Test tube babies develop (later) in the mothers womb and so there is an afterbirth and it is this which gives the belly button.

Only Adam and Eve didnt have belly buttons.

.....so where does the stork come in to all this?
well it has to get its food supply from somewhere nevermind which was it was made :D

Yes - he's pulling your leg, what birth sign is he - Pyrex?
