post it back to them with the correct form from the post office"before" the end of December and you will get monies back for complete months left unexpired
i had to tax my old car on the 1st of sept for 9 days as my new car wasent ready to pick up till the 10th,i kept the disc and returned it to dvla where i got a refund less 1 month.

You should probably check with the buyer that he isn't expecting the tax disk with the car. If it's a dealer, most can't be bothered with the paperwork these days and allow you to remove the disk.

Does your invoice say 'taxed until .......' on the part exchange? Might be one way to tell what he's expecting without giving him the chance to think about it. If it doesn't, take it and say nothing is the best policy.

You need to fill in a V14 - which you can download as an Adobe file on that site.

if they don't get before the end of the month , if the post mark shows you have posted before the end of the month they will refund the entire month
