What a wasted afternoon.

During the long journey undertaken in my attempts to make today's hospital appointment I told every Tom, Dick and Harry that many years ago I had a really bad reaction to the dye used in this type of procedure.
Neither Tom, nor Dick, nor Harry passed on the information. I got as far as the cubicle and mentioned it again...well! Surprise, surprise.
I then had to wait til they "found" a doctor who could advise. Never can find a doctor in a hospital in my experience. Was I sure it wasn't just a panic attack? Imagine me panicking?
An hour later....perhaps they found my notes?.....and I was told I had had a very serious anywhatsit shock episode and they didn't want to risk it again. Would I like to come back another day? Shall we make it an AB outing and take a picnic? I did try to get them to go ahead with my two epi pens and some Piriton to hand but they weren't keen.
Still, Martin the radiologist and I have hit it off.....great sense of humour.

load - pre-rinse - soap - rinse - second rinse - dry - unload - Sibbo quality test for dregs/water stains - decision time.......Gawd help it if he breaks a wine glass.

Good telly on tonight with Uni Challenge and the Top Gear 50th year Bond cars programme - and it's lightly raining here. So fire on, red wine about to open, dinner.........

Oh bugger DT, we've now got an electric fire, it's not the same but on the other hand no ashes to clear out in the morning but still love an open fire
Open fire going here, spluttered a little bit as it isn't that cold and the (new) logs are a tad damp.....little bit of coal has lent its hot ash and we are away.

Red wine now at hand and Nigella cooking something I have never had, "faro".......as a quasi-risotto.

She's also just "dumped" crushed amaretto biscotti into a damson crumble - that I approve of!
Bloody hell, gness. Hope there's no complications on your next visit.
