I've got a chest infection and been given antibiotics earlier. I'm due to have a flu jab on Saturday. Am I likely to be ok to have it? Will ring tomorrow if unsure but would rather cancel and give someone else the space if that's the case.

Crap news is no methotraxate for me until it clears :(

Got evil sore spots on my ribs just under my armpits too (is that glands?), not a happy me!

Hope sqad, see's this Jenna, I'm sure he will put your mind at ease.
I had this experience a few years ago and was not given the flu jab, because I was on a course of anti-biotics.
4 days with antibiotics ....you should be fit for your injection, but make your final decision in a couple of days.

Sore spots on the skin....no problem.

Sore lumpy spots UNDER the skin, they will be lymph glands.

Thanks all. Fingers crossed Sqad! It's been a looong day at work so will just settle for feeling not quite so urgh :)

Not lumpy, just very very sore. Am wondering if my physio irritated stuff when she was releasing off joints round my ribs and spine (said I have stiff ribs!) and she did say it could kick off a fibro flare.

At least only next week to go then off the steroids :) My already dry eyes and mouth are not loving it.

Should say, sore spots aren't sore on the skin itself but underneath but don't feel lumpy.
OK...very unlikely to be lymph glands.
Question Author
Yay, thank you :) Probably just the fibro being irritated. Can do without anything else going on at the moment.

Checked with the doctors and they said no to flu jab Saturday, figured best to check rather than getting there and them saying no then and wasting the appointment.

Got to rebook when better though just seen on the news there is a vaccine shortage round here. Hopefully sortable soon.
