Christmas songs

Has there been any Christmasy songs released this year? They don't make them like they used to. Wizzard - 'Christmas Every Day', anyone?

I don't think there has been. Went into Asda this week and they were playing all the Christmassy songs and I thought just that. I haven't heard any this year.

there was a programme on channel 4 last night called "bring back the christmas no 1"

The song was called I'm going home, I think, and was sung by David Essex, Jona Lewie, and others. You can hear it on Channel 4.com

I know what you mean shazzabell, every year we get the same old very tired christmas songs. Same songs every year on the obligatory christmas album.

Fairytale of New York is being re-released this year. Unfortunately it's got Katie Melua (sp?) instead of the late, great Kirsty Maccoll dueting with Shane McGowan, but it's still my all time favourite Christmas song.
