menstruation is heavy after 2 month lapse. She's fine but little pain. Has taken ibuprofen. Her friends are nagging her to go to A&E. Is it necessary?

An incomplete miscarriage doesn't always mean more pain.
ummmm..well there you go and I have always thought that pain was a significant feature of an incomplete abortion....one learns something new everyday on AB......

She's working fine and feels no mental ill affects though still menstruating. It's not an abortion sqad.

She plans a home pregnancy test, so we'll see ? This is/was her first pregnancy at aged 32.
so sorry tambo.

that's sweet woofgang thanx, they plan to try again. The bf is in pieces. I wasn't aware men would suffer so.
Not an abortion as we understand it, tambo (i.e. induced) but I believe the medical term for a miscarriage is a spontaneous abortion. As Ummm says, not a term we'd use in layman's language.

Girlie got note from doc for hospital where she had urine test. Negative result & told to 'let nature take its course'. She's on pain killers & has migraine. She's at work to take her mind off events.

Sqad most females see abortion as forced womb evacuation whereas miscarriage as an uncontrollable womb evacuation. Women dont like to be accused of destroying a foetus intentionally, when innocent. Thanx for understanding.
I had an incomplete miscarriage with NO pain whatsoever, just bleeding.
So sorry to hear about your friend Tamborine. I know the heartache. My husband cried like a baby. The men are often forgotten about!
