Why does Islam forbid anyone to have/draw/paint an image of Mohammed?

Was He supposed to be in the form of a human like Jesus, or what?
I would have thought that if there is an approximate imaginary form to pray to it would seem more real than a wall.

you dont get it do you? The hadith is Muhammads sayings. Allah specifically said that follow muhammad. So we are. Also it is common knowledge that if you draw something than you're going to imagine that they look like that. For example Jesus. he is seen as white with blonde hair and blue eyes. Now he was more likely to be black or Asian to do with where he lived. But people perceive him to look like an Englishman.
Lightbulb - “... have you seen movies about jesus, pictures of jesus, so many things about jesus show him like that [white with blue eyes and blonde hair]...”
I agree with you. It is highly unlikely that Jesus, if he existed at all, had blonde hair and light coloured skin. It is far more likely that he was middle-eastern in appearance and had olive skin and dark hair. This well known discrepancy rather goes to prove that when it comes to recording history (particularly where religion is concerned) human beings are prone to exaggeration, mistakes and deliberate fraud.
Remind me again who wrote the koran? Ah yes, it was those pesky, fallible humans wasn't it...?
