With such cabinet members such as Vince Cable, who needs an opposition?

/// The Business Secretary insisted that any future government should ‘have Liberal Democrats at its heart’ and boasted of his recent flirtations with Labour. ///

Does he even think there will such a thing as a Lib/Dem coalition with the Labour Party?

I would much rather see a Tory/Labour coalition.

The Break up of the Coalition will be accrimonious and I don't think the British Public will have any appetite for another one. For that reason I foresee the Lib/Dem vote will almost completely evaporate. They will lose a lot of seats and be in no position to be Kingmakers for anyone.

If things are close again next time, the Welsh and Scots Nationalists may assist Labour. If UKiP pick up an odd seat then they might ally with the Tories but it is unlikely they will have any significant numbers to make a difference.

A Lab/Lib Coalition would be just as losy as the present lot, hope it doesn't come to that.

i reckon that if the Tories were able to ditch the Lib Dems and go for a snap election they would stand a better chance of carrying the day. But the Lib dems and labour is a worse match than what we have now.
The real tragedy behind all this name calling is that this administration had a clear job to do and as a house divided against itself, it will fail. Where does that leave us, particularly the poor and vulnerable end of Society?

chuckle brothers, no idea what or who you mean.
Ed Miliband's problem is that he comes across as too clever. The British public don't like that.
Ed Miliband's problem is he always looks like a product of Nick Parks.

It is obvious that the LibDems will be glad to be free of the Tories, but their only hope of success is hitching their wagon on to someone else. Not good enough for a solo run. Cable is the pits, all he can do is bad mouth people, no constructive thought. Nick is weak, and his posturing is pathetic. It would be a real tragedy for us all if we were subjected to a Lab:Lib government.
Ed Miliband too clever, oh come on.
is in hock to the unions, has not had like most of his contemporaries a proper get your hands dirty job. That is what is largely wrong with politics now, they have political jobs from leaving university, which doesn't necessarily give them any grounding in the real world.
