I have put a tumble dryer in my shed because I dont have space indoors.

I need to keep the damp off the shed, so I need a small heater with thermostat that will come on when shed temp gets too low.

I need something economical too, any suggestions and where to buy.?

Grateful thanks

Most good electrical or hardware shops will sell you a 'frost heater' which is a short tube with very low output but designed to maintain a temp above freezing. Pennies to run. Needs to be wired in to power point with a seperate fused outlet.

I may be a bit dumb here but, if your shed is damp why not mend the roof, windows, door or whatever is causing it to be damp. Some insulation might also help.

I can't see the point of a heater unless you are sitting there watching the tumble dryer go round......

thanks Nickmo your suggestion will work.

Hereby hangs the tale I didnt want to bore u all with, shed is a tin one from Argos [ bad choice] two sons came round to fix because hubby is reg blind and I am over 65 and cant do it. dryer has a condensor so dont need a hole , but they put the doors on upside down, both blame each other and have washed their hands of it, its become a family joke but not to us ! doors dont close, shed gets damp and dryer cuts out, once you warm the shed up a bit , dryer works . hence need for a small heater.
