A friend of mine has just given birth last week to a little baby boy. She already has 2 boys and 2 girls, so had kept all their old baby clothes. When I went to meet baby she she was wearing all blue - blue babygro, blue cardi and blue bonnet. She said that she is just using whatever baby clothes she has, but to look at you would swear she had had a boy. You wouldnt dress a baby boy in pink if you happened to have pink baby clothes in the house would you??

I don't think it matters but I really like to see new babies in white.
White?

With all that poo and sick and stuff?

I think "camo" would be more practical.
lol jayne, when they have dirty clothes you change them, not just camouflage it! (also, they poo in their nappies mainly, and sick shows up no matter what colour they are in)

Maybe its just me, but if I see a baby in a pram dressed all in blue I do assume its a boy, and the same goes for babys all in pretty pink - must be girls imo.
i agree. however, it doesn't matter to me that people assume she's a boy - i just tell them her name's phoebe (and i presume they don't think that's a boy's name)
i much prefer pastel colours on babies, preferable white for the first 6 months, im not too keen when i see very young babies dressed in denim and trainers !
Nice of you to go onto another site this morning anne, and point them towards a thread on this site.....................
craft. had already been posted....... but thanks :)
I used to dress my lad in his sister's old pink baby-grows.
