Have had one of the grandsons for the past month (as mother isn't allowed overnight stays and father? Was working and then going on hols). Grandson went home today, I had to pay for him to get there as daughter had spent all her money (again). Got a text off her on her way back home saying that next time he comes down he won't be staying with me but in the house where she lives (this is not allowed by court). I didn't reply, (hate texting), when she got back she came to borrow my bike and that is when the sh1t really hit the fan. It ended with me telling her to leave my house and she did (another) major flounce stating that I will never see my grandson again.

This past four days she has had £90 off me, went to see family in Cheshire and ran out of money, lost ticket to return home, had no money to take grandson home and then flounces when I tell her that I can't carry on like this and that she has to get her act together, she is nearly 29, I don't fund my other children like this, so why should I have to do it with her.

Thanks for listening ....... rant over.

{{{ hugs for a lovely person }}}

I know what you have offered to do (unasked) for another ABer - that a member of your family should take the piss like this is horrible.

Thanks Dave, she is just all me, me, me.
Gawd Traci, You have my sympathy, as dave say's she's taking the piss {{{ hugs from me also }}}.
which of your offspring is she closest to? Let them know what has happened and how hacked you are and this has to stop or it risks serious family strife. See if they will convey the message on.......(she may be trying to sponge off your other kids).

Thanks guys, DT, she's not really close to any of them as she is always managing to hack somebody off.
Traci, it sounds to me like as long as you keep opening your purse, the more she will take the piss.
DT, do you always get someone else involved when you have a problem with someone? I am seriously curious.
sending love!

may i join the rant ... ?

i have my grandson living with me under court order and feel that i get no thanks!

naturally i provide all the food, clothing, equipment and furnishings, pay for a nursery for me to work, and have sacrificed all my free time with my new husband in the process! (we get child benefit and child tax credit obviously but ...)

all i wanted my daughter to do was play with her own son for 3 hours (tops) whilst i went to the hairdresser! she lives near a nice park btw!

it was all planned for saturday morning, and despite my reminder text, she answered the door in her dressing gown and said she had forgotten!

i turned on my heel and left grandson there, thinking she could wash and dress AND mind him just the same!

NOT IMPRESSED
In this instance, someone close to the family but seen as impartial may help to deliver the message, ummmm, and without triggering the emotions on their son's part - I'm surprised you don't see that, really surprised, seriously.
sorry, wrong thread.....lol. However, this is within Traci's family......

You don't - stop until she learns to behave.
