you can't choose your family. I've heard that said so often. So you can love somebody because they are a relative/family, but that doesn't mean you have to like them. Do any of you have family that you genuinely don't like?

id hate to feel like you re your son smo..... but as he matures he may well change, i hope so :)

Hope so annea, I really do. btw thats not just my opinion of him, its everybody's that I know. As you say, hopefully he will sort himself out, I really hope so,
Sometimes the only reason you see family/relatives is exactly because they are just that. If they weren't related to you, I sometimes wonder whether you'd see them at all, having nothing in common and not particularly liking them either. Having said that, I still think there's something in the saying 'blood is thicker than water' and it's nice that families can pull together when needed, regardless of any 'bad' feelings.
I have never liked my husbands brothers. I only tolerated them. They are greedy nasty bullies. My h has fallen out with them over the past year so now I don't have to see them. Yay
Apart from my children I hate everybody. Apart from my friends of course !
