App to phone homepage

How do I copy or transfer an app to the home screen on my android HTC Sensation. Right now I've got a Google app on the homepage which I was using to search the web but I want to replace it with the Dolphin browser app which I've just downloaded to the phone.

The secret is in long presses (i.e. press and holding icons)

As Chuck says, long presses - hold your finger on the Google app until you see the "remove" icon, then drag that onto it to remove it from the screen. Then go into All Apps, long press again on the Dolphin app; it should then jump to the screens view where you can drop it anywhere you choose.
