The prat chef at work is.. well.. frankly, a prat. He's been indifferent to me since (his) day one, which is fine (I did my best to be nice, as always, but with no come back from him).. However, the other day he complained to the boss that I left work before him (he made the food.. I served the food.. the diners ate and left (after puddings that I made) so then I could go home). He thinks I should have stayed and done all his washing up... That evening he didn't speak to me (nowt new there!) but my Q is... shall I bring up the fact that washing up isn't in my job description (and the fact that meals had been eaten and desserts (made by me.. just to underline that's another job HE doesn't do!!) so his 'making meals' job was done and dusted way before my job was finished!! or shall I just be civil/ignore the idiot.. pft... waffaling.. not expecting a relpy to my diatribe... just venting really.... And relax....

She told him to dicuss it with me, but underlined the fact that the kichen washing up isn't my job... He never said a word to me that evening.. I'm bloody furious... not sure whether to just 'keep calm and carry on' or have it out with him...!
i would say keep calm and don't mention it, but that's probably because i don't really like confontation
Who is supposed to do the washing up? How long has the eejit chef been there?
Question Author
He's been there since late May.. Washing up is either Chef, or waiting on staff at the weekend .. not bar (ie me).. I'm going to be the ice queen from now on.. he can shove it.. lol
