Hi, I want to install the latest windows updates and upgrade my internet browser on my laptop but everytime I try I get a message saying there is not enough disk space. I dont know what is taking up the space or how to free it. I haven't got much music on it, have no photos, have programmes such as anti virus and that's pretty much it. I only really use it for web browsing, paying bills and putting musc on my ipod. I am intending to get an external portable hard drive so I can add more music but in the meantime, I can't install any updates. How can I find out what is taking up all the space and then remove it. Thanks in advance!

Okay- well based on your figures this area seems to account for almost 50GB so you need to clear out some of those. Having said that, if I tunes is only 4GB I can't imagine what the rest is

Sorry it should have read 47.8gb free of 54.5gb
Thanks. It looks then as if teh Data area is larger than you need and the other area is not big enough.
I don't know whether it can be partitioned differently so that you have the room to install what you want to install. Hopefully chuckfickens or an IT expert will see this
