i once dreamt that death was trying to rip my heart out and i could actually feel his icy grip inside my chest. when i woke up i saw a dark man looking down at me with his hand over my chest. what is that all about?

When you 'woke up' you weren't actually awake, you were in a different stage of your dream - thinking you are actually awake while you are still dreaming is very common, and nothing to worry about. The subject of your dream may indicate that something is troubling you subconciously.

In Turkey,this figure is called 'Kabus',(I think that's how it's spelt' Many people I've met claim to have experienced him pressing down on their chest making it difficult for them to breathe.

Apparently he always wears a hat which it's believed if you can grab from his head,he'll grant you anything you desire to get it back.
