can i get xbox live (xbox + 360) through a wireless ADSL Modem wireless-G Router?

My dad says its the same as broadband.

Your dad's right, connecting your xbox to the broadband via wireless is the same as connecting it directly to the router with an ethernet cable.
When you attach the wireless thing to the xbox, it should recognise it and require a few extra settings. You'll find all the numbers and settings you'll need in the setup pages of the wireless router. Have a look at http://tinyurl.com/d7jgu for further info.
