Recently we had the living room plastered. Sadly the builders weren't too careful about only getting plaster on the walls and as a result our pvc laminate front door, which is a dark wood colour, has plaster embedded in the grain that I cant get out with soapy water and sponge scourer.

Any hints on a better cleaning solution?

Toothbrush or nailbrush? You need to use something with bristles that can get into the grain.
Yes, if it's only plaster, scrubbing plus water will get rid of it.
Don't use the green abrasive side of your sponge scourer as it will take the shine off the laminate if you rub hard.

ok, I will use all 3 suggestions...

ditch the scourer, and in the knowledge that scrubbing plus water should do the trick, use a toothbrush.

thanks all 3 x
