Sometimes Im get pop up warnings from google chrome informing me that my internet usage is very high. Today I was advised that I had used 450 mb. in a short period of time.
I checked my connection manager and it said I had only received 25mb and sent 3.49mb.
Any ideas on this?
I would appreciate an explanation.
Many thanks,
Tobyw

Excuse my ignorance, but an Internet browser is monitoring the data received/sent ? Seems an unnecessary addition to me.

With such a large discrepancy one must be wrong. I'd hope your connection manager wouldn't miss 421MB so I suspect the browser having issues.

thanks all. I have a wireless router.
Just get rid of whatever add-on you have installed that's telling you this, it's clearly a load of rubbish.

And even if somebody else was using your wireless your browsers wouldn't know anything about it!
