Internet usage monitor

Are there any programmes I can download to my pc to monitor the internet usage, ie the time & lenghth it is being used.

I use Tautology Bandwidth Meter - freeware

I typed a long answer about various bandwidth monitors earlier... and then read the question again and realised it was asking about usage time not bandwidth.

can you explain what your trying to do in more detail?
