As a child I read a book called 'tatterdemalion' (if my spelling is corect). It was about a boy with a dog called 'Tatters'.I have never forgotten it, but unfortunately the book was destroyed in the London blitz and I would love to know if any-one knows the author, or where I might try to find a copy.

John Galsworthy (Forsyth Saga) wrote a book called Tatterdemalion but I can find little about it, might be worth a hunt.
the Galsworthy one seems to be short stories and is available free on project gutenberg

There is another one that looks like a children's book by Anita Mary Turner but not sure what it is about

I went on to abe books website and they have a book called Tatterdemalion, but as I am not sure if it is the same one I tried to send them an e.mail to the address they gave, but it bounced straight back, not in operation. I will follow up whatever leads i can get, thank you so much.
