Haven't the Tories already promised one and failed to deliver? Is this a case of jam yesterday, jam tomorrow, but none today?

Well we are moving in the right direction. Legislation has been passed that a referedem would be held should there be any proposal to transfer sovereignty from the Uk to the EU and also any moves towards a federal state would make a very powerful case for a referendum.
But NOT an in-out one!!! I think most people would want OUT....
Well actually he didn't did he?

Did you read the link you posted? or just hoped nobody else would?

I quote:

\\Mr Cameron said he would not launch an immediate in/out referendum that increasing numbers of his backbenchers are demanding.

But in an article for the Sunday Telegraph he conceded 'the two words "Europe" and "referendum" can go together' \\

You think that constitutes a promise?

He doesn't want one for the simple reason he knows how disasterous it would be to leave.
Just don't hold your breath
Well, its nice to see the Conservatives pick at thier favourite scab again.

They will getting Mad Granny down out of the attic again soon !
