Just finished watching the documentary film about Ayrton Senna. What a man! Even if you're not an F1 fan, I still highly recommend watching it. It was so emotional I actually shed a tear which is not like me at all.

i missed it at cinema .. mad as hell.

where did you see it?
dvd or terrestrial tv ?
It's an amazing film. So sad too :(
Senna was a great man, he was ruthless on the track but showed great compassion off the track.
It's been on Sky movies on and off for several weeks. Agree it was sad, especially the day of the accident. It was almost as if he knew something wasn't right.
I was driving back from seaworld when it was announced on the radio of his death. I was gutted. A really great F1 driver.

I got it on DVD, Excel.

It was like the whole weekend was cursed. The death of Ratzenberger during qualys the day before was devastating for him. He definitely knew something was going to happen. Even watching the film, I could feel how tense he was. It was horrible to watch.
He had the Austrian flag in the cockpit with him during the race because he was intending to dedicate the weekend to Ratzenberger if he won (which he would have done)

His reply to Jackie Stewart when asked about the amount of incidents he had with other drivers was spot on.

"If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a racing driver."

I don't really find that funny, Jem...
I saw it at the cinema - gripping and heartbreaking ....
You just don't see laps like Senna's opening lap at donnington in 93 any more...

Overtaking 5 cars in one lap in torrential rain is amazing enough, when those cars include Prost, Hill and Schumacher it takes it to another level.

And people say that F1 isn't as exciting anymore. I would rather have driver's safety over that any day...
Question Author
He was truly amazing, Chuck. In a league of his own..
I agree with the above, I feel fortunate to have watched most of his races and witnessed his brilliance from being a fan in the 80's and 90's
Please be careful how you word your headings.
I only looked at this post because I thought it was a discussion on cures for constipation
