In driving around in Bucks I'm amazed how many deciduous trees and shrubs still have their leaves.. Normally by this late in November we would just be seeing bare twigs and branches. Is this due to the low rainfall we've had this year, and is it the same in other parts of the country?

Hi Wendys, Yes, i'am not too far away in Herts and Iwas also surprised to see so many still in leaf, the colours seem adisapointment this year as well. What i put it down to is the late "kick off" of our spring this year, and the trees are trying to make up for lost time. Well thats what i think anyway, but the seasons all seem to be topsy turvey thease days, or has it always been that way ?

Same in Beds- my hazel tree in the garden had dropped few leaves yet- most are still green!
It's probably because we had a mild September and October.
