when i go on facebook all the text is small.... i keep enlarging it with ctrl and + and it goes back to normal but as soon as i change the page it goes back small again.... ive tried ctrl and 0 (suggested by someone a while ago) and thats not working .. my son said its firefox problem and suggested i use google chrome which i am using right now and its gone back to normal but i dont like google....is there anywhere i can change the size back to how i like it on firefox? ive looked in tools and options but cant see where to do it thanks....

this isnt a continuing problem...sometimes its fine, the other day it was big and now its little grr

I have to agree with your son. FireFox seems to be getting worse and worse recently, with update after update breaking various bits of functionality here, there and everywhere.

thanks mark, yeah hes just given me a firefox is crapper than crap lecture.... i just cant get used to google chrome. I think its because there is nothing above the address bar and im used to things there... and i cant find my favourites... i imported them because it prompted me and they sat there individually at top so i hid them and cant get back into them.... one good thing...so far i havent seen the stupid box that comes up saying 'stop script' so far....

Nor will you. I'm really struggling to think of any way that FireFox is superior to Chrome...
The only way it is superior is that when I was on Firefox there was a little icon on the toolbar which showed me the temperature and general weather conditions where I live. However I can live without that; the superior speed of Chrome overcompensates.

thanks rojash.. i had looked there but the bit 'new incognito window' sparked my childish imagination, i must have not noticed bookmarks (directly underneath) and just looked at rest of menu

thanks mark...i think that alone will make me stick it out with chrome.... it is so annoying when it happens
As someone who makes his living writing (primarily) web-based applications, for the last half year or so the first question I ask in a support call is "Are you using FireFox?" Their almost continual changing of their JavaScript processing engine is the bane of my life at the moment. Unless they sort it out, I'll have little choice but to remove FireFox from the core set of supported browsers and charge clients extra for testing against it...
I was[i on Firefox 3.6 for ages 'cos I preferred the screen layout. Each time I logged on, a message would urge me to upgrade to the latest version. I ignored it every time. Yesterday, when I switched on my computer, up came a message to say that [i]an update] (note: not an upgrade) for Firefox was being downloaded. I then found my Firefox home screen was totally altered, and I'm now on version 12.0 - without so much as a 'by your leave'. To find your version Pdust, click on 'Help', 'About Firefox'.
(And I've placed a query in 'Editor's Blog' as to why the italics method doesn't seem to work consistently!).
