My 7 year old daughter has been off school for 2 weeks with one of the many bugs going around. Last saturday (19/11), she come down with a dry, tickly cough which has remained for over a week.
She coughs all night and sometimes brings up a bit of phlegm.....which has made me think it could be asthma, although she's not wheezing or out of breath.
She went to the Dr's last thursday who told us it was a part of the bug going around but the cough has remained and not improved.
She'll be going back to the Dr's tomorrow but, can anyone help/advise what this could be ?....
There's no infection there so antibiotics weren't given.
Thanks

Hi Andy, no doubts your daughter has returned to the docs but I can assure you that if there is phlegm when she coughs then it means there is an infection there and she should be given some sort of antibiotic.
