Lovely start today... and had a real boost on arriving at work we have a new huge fruit and veg stall outside the main entrance so have come into office with big punnet of strawberries, another of cherries, 5 peaches and a kilo of apples... I love fruit and had cut back drastically as the supermarket is so expensive Dearest thing was the strawberries at 1.99 but the punnet is double the supermarket size with over 600g of fruit the cherries were 1.89 anbd its an even bigger punnet... something soooo simple but it has made my day... no chocolate temptation required I am one happy witch

the neighbours kiddies, they are a pain in the rear end, and can change my sunny, well sometimes mood, to one of overhanging dark clouds.
It can be as something as simple as someone holding a door open or letting you go in front of them at the check-out queue.

My local fruit shop has become uber-expensive:-(

Alba...I know its such little things but kindness just makes you feel like doing something for someone else... its one thing I wish was catching... like a cold... imagine if we could infect people with consideration..
Were there no bananas, Rowanwitch?

They are a sadly neglected fruit at this time of year...

Could it be that you don't see them on childrens' TV any more - there were some excellent banana based programmes....

A smile and a good morning cost nothing and pleasure is both given and received.

The Banana Splits Show should be compulsory viewing again.
We have bananas in this house! its the only fruit titch will eat when shes ill, and the dogs like banana too! Here, it can be just my little one coming up for a cwtch on the sofa with me, or one of the dogs doing there daft faces that makes me smile when im frustrated!
when the sun comes out, changes everything.
We who revere Ab Editor , who watches over Answerbank, have a special regard for the almost magical properties and symbolism of the banana

praise Ab Editor and pass the bananas!!
You are right there em10,The sun is shining here and i feel great, going in to the greenhouse to pot up some hanging baskets, today is one thing but when they are strewn all over the garden with the winds and rain i,ll probably feel in a quite different mood.

Sunshine is good...there's a small amount penetrating the brick canyon... the grey wagtail family are out and about and i have a cup of costa coffeee...life's good
The massive bouquet of flowers from my work collegues and the cheeky note inside saying "nice and quiet without you!!" haha that made me laugh and made my day :-)
Sunshine first thing in the morning on the hills where I live. Raises my spirits without fail.
Ooh yummy! We eat loads of fruit. We have plums, apples and bananas in the fruit bowl at the moment, but i havent had any english strawberries yet. i want some now!lol
Mr O has just bought a bistro table & chairs for our new patio. I was sitting out there this morning with my first cuppa. The sun is shining, the blackbird's antics were keeping me amused and I spotted a previously unseen flowering Lily of the Valley. It's the simple things that do it for me.
Mrs O - while eating lots of good seasonal fruit, do avoid ingesting any part of the Lily of the Valley. Lovely though it is, please note

"All parts of the plant are highly poisonous, including the red berries which may be attractive to children.[13][14] If ingested—even in small amounts—the plant can cause abdominal pain, vomiting, and a reduced heart rate"
I was really stressing about something this morning and later was in a lot of pain and pretty upset and a bit teary but trying not to let it show and my lovely colleagues were so sweet, just gently cheered me up and distracted me and then got me a chip barm at lunch and wouldn't let me pay for it so I could sneak bites at my desk as I wasn't having a lunch break.
