I have a feeling that the Queen is going to be very disappointed - maybe even a little bored? at the special concert tonight. I know everyone likes different kinds of music but she is a similar age to my Mum, who I know would not like to sit through 3 - 4 hours of this music/performers. Who gets to choose who actually performs? I think as a real tribute to the Queen, she should have been able to choose HER favourites not just people she had knighted! Even I only like 2 or 3 .........I will record it and zap it to who I want to hear. What are your thoughts?

I like her, she has a powerful voice. Shame as some others have pointed out there couldn't be more home grown talent. Or maybe they were unavailable for the day
Now shes got a good excuse to miss it, with Prince Philip in hospital - they say a bladder infection - its a wonder its not pneumonia after yesterday!
Some of the biggest names from the worlds of music, dance and musical theatre.

Including Gary Barlow, Annie Lennox, Robbie Williams, Will-iam, Jessie J, Cliff Richard, Lang Lang, Alfie Boe, Jools Holland, Grace Jones, Ed Sheeran, Tom Jones, Madness Shirley Bassey, Kylie Minogue, Rennee Fleming, Ruby Turner, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Paul McCartney
Philip is only feigning it, because he agrees with me about Shirley Bassey.
hopkirk doubt it, and i hope the old boy gets better, would hate to see anything happen to him, especially in this Jubilee year.
Have to admit I've never heard of Alfie Boe. As far as some of the others are concerned I used to be a fan of Paul Mc., Burley Chassis and even Englebert but have to admit nowadays few of them can hold a tune and most sing flat. (The Eurovision) was a typical example. Lord knows what some of the music tonight is going to do to the foundations of the Queen Vic memorial.
Alfie Boe, good singer, opera, and some crossover type music.
I saw him at the Albert Hall. Festival of Remembrance

he's a tweedle for Michael Douglas.

Can't believe you haven't heard of Alfie Boe parkdale - he is just wonderful, in West End musicals and sings at lots of occasions and on Songs of Praise. He has a great voice and seems a really nice person.
