Thoroughly agree with this article

We were annoyed as Matt Baker and Sophie Raworth started interviewing someone at precisely the time the royal barge was going under the opened London Bridge - what bad timing!

As I read this I am watching Fiona Bruce's silk clad thighs, her dress blowing open to reveal her legs, her feet in strappy sandals - she is onscreen for a long time walking along various London streets. Now a view from the rear as she walks away; now she raises her arms in a profile view......
The program?
'Royal Palaces'
I don't mind watching Fiona Bruce but the cult of the presenter is taking over - the subject of these programs is pparently now less important than the presenter...........IMO
alba, my views on MB are widely known, it isn't the accent, just him.
i agree about some of these presenters they seem so intrusive.
I cannot stand MB either.

Shoota, I agree with Em, it's more the presenter than the subject matter.
Shocking - dreadful coverage, poor sound and pictures, ridiculous presents doing and sayin ridiculous things - made me cringe!! And why could I hear the church bell replies, the singing or the orchestras ....... better to have followed the river action with background music and sack all the presenters!! Truly awful!!
These are those i would ban, Matt Baker twitterer, Alex Jones, what a screech, Christine Bleakley, as bad, Jennie Bond never stops about her royal connections, Lorraine Kelly daft woman, then the whole of Loose women,
a total waste of air and time. Huw dour Edwards, Nicholas Witchell another nonentity, sure there are more.
Just finished watching the pageant the whole thing was wonderful to watch but absolutely shot through with such awful comments as '2nd 'floor' of HMS President' and 'Nelson at the battle of Waterloo' from the lady from Grazia - if they are going to employ people to commentate surely they should do their homework. It would have been bettter to watch it without the sound and fast forward the commentators - absolutely dreadful each and every one
GG, as we were down there in the fray you couldn't hear any commentary which sounds as though it was just as well. You could just about hear the music coming from various vessels.
Better to have had a Jonathan or David Dimbleby
I should imagine that the atmosphere without the commentary was amazing em a day to remember Hope that you enjoyed your day
The commentators kept saying how good the technicians were to keep the connections going in such atrocious weather. Considering the feed back it would have been better to employ bad technicians as well.
