Half Or Full year's Road Tax

Just about to tax my car. As money is tight, would you tax it for a whole year or just 6 months?
I know it's £20 more to tax it for the 6 months but at least it's taxed when my MOT is due in November. If my car needs money spent on it then, then that would be a double whammy to me.

The full year is £270.00 and the half year is £148.50.

IMO if the road tax, insurance, and MOT bills presently come together, it is worth the cost of a 6 month hit to not get walloped by them all at once. you only have to do it once and thereafter they remain separate.

If money is tight athe moment,then you haven't timed it that well. Personal decision, I think I'd go for 6 months for now. Spread these costs.

Thanks OG. The timing was governed by the dates that I bought the car and it's MOT date that was in situ.

I have gone for the 6 months tax.
