Friday already - doesn't time fly these days - not like the old days when summer days lasted forever.

The shrubbery has been rather quiet of late and yesterday I found bindweed and brambles had taken a hold in the corner where 'S' used to grow his 'special' mushrooms. Elsewhere the garden is thriving on neglect and hosting a multitude of bugs and beasties. At least they provide food for the blackbirds and robins nesting in what might once have been an old bus.

Anyway, i'm neglecting my duties and should be introducing tomorrow's MM and KM Link Games.

BigMac will be along once again in Q&P at 08:45 to introduce his devious plan to foil you in your point-scoring quest. His challenge words will be posted at 9:00 prompt so be there early for the best chance of bonus points.

The other game, the KM Links is based upon Kate Mepham's GK crosswords published in the Saturday & Monday Daily Telegraphs. There are no time-sensitive bonus points in that version so play at your leisure anytime over the weekend but it is launched fairly early in the morning (for us) by Seekeerz in Australia (her evening).

In both games, the purpose is to guess what word will combine with the declared word (either before or after) to make either a new word or a well known phrase.

Must rush now as I'm still relying in a dongle to stay connected.

Until tomorrow then - Happy Linking

Thanks for the link gen2 and BigMac - We both enjoyed it, particularly Manxiemo, who has now started one of those "whatever happened to ...." conversations. She had a goodly Flanders and Swann collection but where it went is anyone's guess.
Good idea re. the bus Pauline - Kay could drive!
And pointless factoid of the week: Stephanie Flanders, BBC Economics Editor, is directly related to the aforementioned Flanders of Flanders and Swan fame - I think she's his daughter.
A few would fall for it!
I love pointless bits of information! :-))

Jackie...Kay drive? Arghhhhh!!
Pauline I am a brilliant driver........I just get lost !! Sorry haven't been on here tonight but there was a night of Barry Manilow on BBC 4 so I have been watching it and singing my head off !! It's pouring here so I will no doubt be here for the links at 9am (car boots rained off I think) Need to speak to you soon Pauline.
I will call you tomorrow Kay.
