Nothing like it was.We only ever had it in the house if someone was ill.Do you remember when the glass bottle had the cellophane around it?

i remember those days. i've not drunk any for many years now, but i remember calling it 'liquid barley sugar'
sugar is all it was
and the bottle got all sticky and wasps loved it...
sugar and caffeine. I don't think that the recipe for the original drink has ever changed. During the war when sugar was rationed, a special allowance was made to (I think it was Beechams then) to make Lucozade.
As kids we used to squabble over who got the cellophane.
Love the stop, and that rubber flange thing on the stopper.
Those glass bottles were bloody heavy.
my favourite was ice cream soda, not sure if you can get it now. I tried Lucozade once recently i hated it, fizzy and sugary.
