Is there a publicised list or something where we can see which pubs, clubs and shops/supermarkets have applied for the late licencing and are open later then 11pm? I live in darlington which is a small place so it would be handy to know which places sell alcohol later in my area and across the country?

A lot of places have applied for 24 licences but that does not mean they are going to open 24 hours a day it just means that they have the flexibiity to vary their hours as appropriate. It avoids having to apply for extensions every time something out of the ordinary comes up. I imagine there is a list at the local court of those clubs/pubs that have a 24 hour licence but you would have to ask the places themselves what their actual openning hours are.

Check the local paper. This is probably the best way to find out which places are open later.
It won't be at the court, they are no longer involved. Licences are issued by the Council who will be too busy to answer a query of this nature. The premises themselves will be doing their own marketing and the premises concerned are obliged to provide a summary of their licence on the premises. Other than that, there is no requirement to provide a list. As has been said, a licensee who has the ability to open during particular hours can close whenever they like. If there are 10 customers and 15 staff, whats the point of staying open?
